      Technical Principles
      Petroleum is a hydrocarbon substance. When ultraviolet light shines on the oil film on the surface of an object, the oil film will emit a specific f luorescence spectrum. Different types of oil films will produce different spectra.
      Semiconductor Laser Light Source with Pulse Modulation
      In the process of exciting fluorescence emission from oil films on object surfaces, we use a semiconductor pulsed ultraviolet laser light source. Operating in the optimal UV wavelength range for inducing oil fluorescence, this light source offers significant advantages over UV diode (LED) sources and conventional UV lamps in terms of monochromaticity, directionality, stability, coherence, and high energy.
      Detection of Oil Film Presence and Type
      When a laser beam irradiates the surface of an object, the presence of an oil film will cause the film to be excited and emit fluorescence. The emitted spectral signal is collected by the receiver and processed through the spectroscopic system. The computer then compares the acquired spectral image with the standard spectral database to identify the specific type of oil film. The receiver can detect spectra in the 400–800 nm wavelength range, enabling the monitoring of nearly all types of oils.

      Using active optical detection technology, information can be obtained quickly and in real time, and the char acteristics and development trend of oil film on water surface can be effectively monitored and evaluated.
      Ultraviolet pulsed laser technology is adopted, which has strong anti-light disturbance ability and can rea lize the oil pollution detection on the water surface at a longer distance.
      The advanced semiconductor laser is used, which has long service life, high energy conversion efficiency, and the average power is on the order of milliwatts, and will not ignite oil and gas molecules in the air.
      Spectral analysis technology is used to accurately characterize the composition of oil film materials, avoid false positives caused by various environ mental disturbances, and provide data support for the cause analysis and solution selection of oil spills.
      The highly innovative Raman algorithm enables rapid and accurate semiquantitative analysis of oil film and greatly expands the oil film thickness detection range.
